Preserving the Beauty of Your Piece
Our work is crafted to last — but like all natural wood, it benefits from mindful care. With just a little attention, your carving will continue to age gracefully and hold its beauty for generations.
Everyday Care
- Dust gently with a dry, soft cloth — microfiber or lint-free works best.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes; no harsh chemicals are needed.
- Keep away from direct sunlight or strong UV exposure to prevent uneven fading.
Humidity and Temperature
Wood is a living material — it responds to changes in its environment.
- Display your piece in a stable environment, avoiding areas with high humidity or extreme dryness.
- If storing, wrap in soft cloth and keep in a place with moderate temperature and airflow.
Refreshing the Finish
All pieces are sealed with multiple coats of hardwax oil for a satin-smooth, natural feel.
- If the finish looks dull over time, apply a small amount of clear hardwax oil using a lint-free cloth.
- Buff gently along the grain and allow to cure per product instructions.
- For black-dyed carvings, avoid aggressive scrubbing to preserve the pigment depth.
Freestanding and Wall-Mounted Pieces
- Freestanding pieces come with custom-made stands. Avoid dropping or forcing the tenon — they’re precision-fit.
- Wall-mounted pieces include pre-installed hanging hardware. Be sure to anchor securely, especially on drywall.
